UTPB Battles Tough Vs. Lady Buffs

ODESSA, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin softball team (0-6, Lone Star Conference, 3-12) lost 6-0 to #2 West Texas A&M (6-0 LSC, 14-1), Sunday afternoon at Falcon Field.

In the first inning West Texas A&M used two hits and two errors to score three runs.  In the bottom half, UTPB had a runner on third with one out.

The Lady Buffs got the next two batters out and seal the game with two runs in the third inning.

For UT Permian Basin, senior Destini Trahan (0-5) gave up nine hits, six runs with three earned, walked four and struck out one in seven innings.

For West Texas A&M, Emilee Boyer (7-1) gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five in six innings.

UT Permian Basin hits the road Tuesday, Feb. 27 taking on UT Tyler.  The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
