GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. –The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team closed out the RMAC Championships, Saturday at El Pomar Natatorium.

Colorado Mesa finished with 1221 points to win by 583.5 points over Colorado School of Mines.  Rounding out the top five were Simon Fraser (3^rd – 626.50 points), Oklahoma Christian (4^th - 516 points) and Western Colorado (5^th – 409 points).  UTPB finished sixth with 303 points.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Gabriela Gonzalez, senior Ava Reaume, sophomore Emma Gerhart and senior Avery Joiner finished sixth (3:35.82).  That is the third fastest time in UTPB history.  Additionally, Gonzalez swam 52.57 on the opening leg, the third fastest 100 free time in program history.

In the 1650 free, Gerhart was 14^th at 18:23.93.
