GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team closed out Day 3 of the RMAC Championships, Thursday at El Pomar Natatorium.

Colorado Mesa has scored 593 points and leads by 251.50 points over Colorado School of Mines.  Rounding out the top five are Simon Fraser (3^rd – 306.50 points), Oklahoma Christian (4^th - 236 points) and Western Colorado (5^th – 198 points).  UTPB is in sixth place with 160 points.

The 400-yard medley relay team of senior Ava Reaume, freshman Chloe Siegrist, sophomore Emma Gerhart and senior Avery Joiner finished ninth (4:11.95).

In the prelims of the 200-yard freestyle, sophomore Gabriela Gonzalez swam 1:56.89, fourth fastest time in school history.

UT Permian Basin is back at the RMAC Championships, Friday, Feb. 15.  Prelims start at 10:00 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
