GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Diving had five in the championship finals as The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team closed out Day 2 of the RMAC Championships, Wednesday at El Pomar Natatorium.

Colorado Mesa has scored 366 points and leads by 171.50 points over Colorado School of Mines.  Rounding out the top five are Simon Fraser (3rd – 182.50 points), UTPB (4th - 130 points) and Oklahoma Christian (5th - 124 points).

Freshman Emi Goto scored 376.75 points to place fourth on the 1M board.  She was followed by freshman Tayler Davis (5th – 366.55 points), junior Kathe Hepfer (6th - 360.75 points), sophomore Delaney Murphy (7th – 350.75 points) and sophomore Camilla Aguilar (8th – 301.90 points).

The 800-yard freestyle relay squad of sophomore Gabriela Gonzalez, junior Ana Cardenas, freshman Rilee Graham and sophomore Emma Gerhart were seventh (8:03.69).  That is the fifth fastest time in school history.  Gonzalez swam 1:57.49 on the opening the leg, fourth fastest 200 free in UTPB history.

The 200-yard medley relay of freshman Hailey Garcia-Rivas, freshman Chloe Siegrist, Graham and Gonzalez were eighth (1:54.39) and Gerhart placed 12th in the 1000 free (10:52.62).  Siegrist swam 11:15.18 in the 1000 free which cracks the top 10 in UTPB history.

UT Permian Basin is back at the RMAC Championships, Thursday, Feb. 15.  Prelims start at 10:00 a.m. with finals at 5:00 p.m.
