UT Permian Basin student athletes excelled in their sport and in the classroom during the 2023 fall season, as The Lone Star Conference announced that 164 Falcons were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2023 fall semester. 40 of those athletes made a perfect 4.0 GPA. 

"Nothing makes us prouder than when our student-athletes succeed in the classroom," said Associate Athletic Director Hayley Hudson. "164 athletes with 40 of them earning a 4.0 GPA is proof that our athletes are putting in the work in the classroom as well as in their sports."

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the specified semester. To be eligible for the recognition, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 grade-point average for the semester and be on the roster. Participants on all 19 LSC championship sports, three non-conference Division II sports, and athletic training student staff were included among the spring 2023 honorees.
