COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seniors Matthew Lenzo and Evan Siegrist each had a win for The University of Texas Permian Basin men's swimming & diving team on Day 1 of the Colorado College Classic, Friday at Schlessman Natatorium.

There were two events held on the first day. Team scores are not available at this time.

Siegrist swan 16:25.02 to win the 1650-yard freestyle by over 29 seconds.  His time broke the pool record.

Lenzo continues his 3M board streak, scoring 496.75 points to win by 15.15 points.  His total hit the NCAA Diving Zone Qualifying mark and was his third straight win in the event.

Sophomore Tristan Negrete was fourth (412.30 points) and freshman Andrew Pritt was sixth (312.85).

UT Permian Basin will compete at the Colorado College Classic, Jan. 20-21.  The meet will run all day on the 20th and 21st.
