ODESSA, Texas – Grad Student Kenny Hrncir has been named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week in football for week 4.  This is just the second time in program history a Falcon has earned offensive POW honors.

Hrncir had a hand in all five touchdowns as The University of Texas Permian Basin stormed from behind to beat West Texas A&M 41-40 in overtime, Saturday, Sept. 23 at Astound Broadband Stadium.

Hrncir threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 105 yards and two scores.  The Falcons scored 17 points in the final four and one-half minutes of the game.  Hrncir dove in from the one-yard line with 15 seconds left to tie the game.

In overtime, Hrncir again scored from the one, which proved to be the game-winner.  He finished with 424 yards in total offense, second best in UTPB history.
