EDMOND, Ok. - Sophomore Emma Gerhart had two runner-up performances as The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team (0-1) lost 186-51 to Oklahoma Christian (1-0), Friday night at Mitch Park YMCA.

Gerhart was runner-up in 200-yard (2:02.90) and 500-yard (5:31.59) freestyle events to pace the Falcons.  She also swam with senior Avery Joiner, freshman Hailey Garcia-Rivas and senior Ava Reaume on the 2^nd place 200-yard free relay (1:44.76).

UT Permian Basin got runner-up finishes from Joiner in the 100-yard free (57.56), senior Monica Lomeli in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:18.40) and Reaume in the 50-yard free (26.19).

UT Permian Basin will compete in the Sam Freas Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 23.  The meet is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
