KINGSVILLE, TX – UT Permian Basin baseball saved the best for last in this weekend's games against Texas A&M Kingsville with a 21-11 run-rule-win to split the series.
After a slow start, the Falcons hung seven runs on the Javelinas in the third inning to pull ahead 8-3.
TAMKU tied the game up at 9-9 after the fourth inning, before UTPB ran away in the later innings to a run-rule, 21-11 win in eight innings.
Taylor McDaniel led all Falcon hitters going five for five out of the DH spot with four runs, two RBIs, and a double.
Carson Johnson when four of five on the day with three runs and five RBIs with two doubles and a stolen base.
Mason Hamlin also when four of five at the plate, picking up three RBIs, and two runs, with a double, a triple, and a stolen base.
Michael Clapperton had three hits, two RBIs, a run and a double.
Austin Hall and
Jack Haggerty each picked up a double on Sunday.

Creede Jeffers led the Falcon pitching attack with six strikeout in 4.2 innings pitched to pick up his second win of the season.
Next up for the Falcons will be a four game home stand hosting #22 St. Edward University. Game one will be Friday March 10 at 1pm. Games two and three will be Saturday March 11 with the first game staring at noon. The Final game of the series will be Sunday, March 12 starting at noon.
All games will be a Roden Field – there will be a food truck on site for Saturday's game.
