Alexus Quaadman has been on a mission of late and Saturday was no different at Lubbock Christian. The junior dropped 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for UT Permian Basin Women's Basketball. She now set a new career-high for rebounds in a season with 216.
The Falcons outscored the home side 36-29 in the second half, including a 20-point outburst in the fourth quarter. Quaadman got the offense rolling in the second half with three-straight buckets.
Holly Hemmeline followed with a three before Quaadman added back-to-back layups giving her 10 points for the quarter.
In the fourth quarter the Falcons knocked down four three-pointers, including two by
Kamari Portalis. The offensive surge was too late as the Falcon offense struggled in the opening half for the 70-50 final.
Portalis had an impressive showing with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Avalon Munoz finished the game with nine points.
The Falcons travel to Wichita Falls next Thursday to take on Midwestern State looking to keep pace in the Lone Star Confererence playoff hunt. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
