Box Score 2 ODESSA – The UT Permian Basin baseball team was back out on Roden Field Saturday afternoon for game two and three of the team's first home stand of the season against Lubbock Christian University.
Falcon hitters combined for 10 hits against the stingy LCU starters. UTPB was led by
Mason Hamlin and
Cooper Ciesielski who both had a pair of hits and
Carson Johnson who had a double.
UTPB was aggressive on the bases, racking up seven stolen bases, including two from
Taylor McDaniel in the second game.
Cole Tague and the Falcon pitchers collected 11 strikeouts over both games, with Tague getting four in five innings pitched.
At the end of the day, UTPB was unable to get by the Chaps as they drop both games to fall to 2-5 for the season and in conference play.
The final game of the series will be Sunday, February 12 at Roden Field in Odessa. First pitch is scheduled for Noon.
