ODESSA, Texas  – Graduate Student Alexus Quaadman has been named The Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6. This is the first time that she has earned the honor.

Quaadman had a strong week in helping UT Permian Basin win a pair of Lone Star Conference games. She pulled down 11 rebounds with four assists in a 71-61 win over Oklahoma Christian (Dec. 7).

Quaadman had 16 points and 17 rebounds in a thrilling 70-68 win over Arkansas Fort Smith (Dec. 9). This was the fourth straight game in double-digit rebounds and her fifth double-double of the season.

Quaadman was a big factor in the Falcons holding their opponents to just 64.5 points a game and 41% shooting from the floor.  19 of her 28 rebounds were defensive.
