SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin men's swimming & diving team won four events on the final day of the Tiger Invitational, Sunday at Alamo Heights High School Natatorium.

Trinity scored 1101.5 points to beat UT Permian Basin (1021.5 points) by 80 points.  Rounding out the top five were Southwestern (3rd – 469 points), Loyola New Orleans (4th – 419 points) and McMurry (5th – 82 points).

Sophomore Owen Putnam swam 1:52.08 to win the 200-yard butterfly.  That is the second fastest time in school history missing the school record by 2.24 seconds.  Sophomore Carter Wood and Konstantine Partalas (Trinity) each scored 444.70 points to share the 1-meter board title.

Addition first place finishes came from junior Legend Jankowski in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.42 – Top 10 in UTPB history) and junior Evan Siegrist in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:03.73).

Runner-up performances came from junior Niklas Heelein in the 1650 free (16:09.32) and the 400-yard free relay team of senior Trevor Heath freshman Colin Doyle, junior Szymon Gilzynski and Heelein (3:07.92).

A third Top 10 time in school history came from junior Nathan Powell in the 200-yard breaststroke.
