Falcons Bring Home Individual Champion

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Junior Kathe Hepfer picked up a victory for The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team on Day 2 of the Tiger Invitational, Saturday at Alamo Heights High School Natatorium.

Trinity has scored 914.5 points and leads by 496 points over Southwestern.  Rounding out the top five are Loyola New Orleans (3rd – 342 points), UT Permian Basin (4th – 275 points) and McMurry (5th – 143 points).

Hepfer scored 392.60 points to win the 1-meter board.  Right behind her was sophomore Delaney Murphy (2nd – 374.10 points) and freshman Emi Goto (3rd – 362.75 points).

Sophomore Emma Gerhart was third in the 100-yard butterfly.  Her time of 59.52 was fourth fastest in school history.

Seventh place finishes came from junior Olivia Blackman in the 400-yard IM (5:00.98) and the 200-yard medley team of freshman Hailey Garcia-Rivas, freshman Chloe Siegrist, Gerhart and senior Ava Reaume (1:55.63).

UT Permian Basin closes out the Tiger Invitational, Sunday, Nov. 19.
