UTPB Puts Up Tough Fight On Road

LAREDO, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's soccer team (4-7-5, 2-5-4 Lone Star Conference) lost 4-0 to Texas A&M International (8-3-5, 6-2-3 LSC), Tuesday night at Dustdevil Field. 

UTPB and Texas A&M International both came out firing in the first 16 minutes of the contest. Senior Tatiana Leggiero and junior Kristel Chaves each had shots that just missed.

Senior Jenna McEnaney made two great saves in the same time period.  With 13 minutes to go in the first half, the Dustdevils scored three goals in four minutes to take charge.

UT Permian Basin had 13 shots with two on goal, two corner kicks and were called for 16 fouls.  McEnaney finished with six saves.  She becomes the fourth player in program history to record over 200 saves.

Texas A&M International had 16 shots with 10 on goal, four corner kicks and were called for 16 fouls.

UT Permian Basin returns home, Friday, Nov. 3 playing Oklahoma Christian.  The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
