ALAMOSA, Colo. – Sophomore Emma Gerhart was a triple winner as The University of Texas Permian Basin women's swimming & diving team (2-1) beat Adams State (0-1) 114-78, Friday afternoon at Plachy Hall Pool.  This is the first win over an RMAC foe since the Falcons returned to the conference.

Gerhart had a busy day winning the 100-yard butterfly (1:15.86), the 500-yard freestyle (5:41.81) and the 1000 free (11:35.57).  Additional wins came from senior Avery Joiner in the 200 free (2:07.29) and the 200 free relay team of Joiner, junior Ana Cardenas, Gerhart and senior Ava Reaume (1:46.74).

UTPB had runner-up performances from freshman Hailey Garcia-Rivas in the 100 fly, Joiner in the 100 free and 200-yard IM, Reaume in the 50 free and 100-yard backstroke and freshman Chloe Siegrist in the 100-yard breaststroke, 500 free and 1000 free.

UT Permian Basin will host Austin College, Saturday, Oct. 21 at COM Aquatics.  The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
