ALAMOSA, Colo. – Five pool records fell as The University of Texas Permian Basin men's swimming & diving team (2-1) rolled past Adams State (0-1) 156-42, Friday afternoon at Plachy Hall Pool. This is the first win over an RMAC foe since the Falcons returned to the conference.
UTPB set pool records in the 100-yard butterfly (junior Szymon Gilzynski – 51.93), 500-yard freestyle (junior Niklas Heelein – 4:57.08), 200-yard IM (sophomore Owen Putnam – 2:02.09), 200-yard medley relay (freshman Zane Garner, freshman Chase Alderman, freshman Colin Doyle, senior Trevor Heath – 1:39.35) and 200 free relay (Heath, Doyle, Gilzynski, Heelein – 1:28.40).

The Falcons went 1-2 in seven events. Double winners were Heath in the 50 and 100 free events (21.70, 49.28) and Heelein in the 200 free (1:47.61) and the 500 free.
UT Permian Basin will host Austin College, Saturday, Oct. 21 at COM Aquatics. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
