Seay's 31-Point Outburst Powers Falcons by Cameron

ODESSA, TexasAzariah Seay was a man on a mission on Thursday evening as he led the UT Permian Basin men's basketball team with 31 points in a 102-73 drubbing of Cameron University in front of a rowdy 212 in attendance at the Falcon Dome.

The 102 points scored by the Falcons (9-9, 3-6 Lone Star) is the most in a Lone Star Conference contest since December 18, 2020, when UTPB also tallied triple digits against Cameron in a 104-102 victory.

With UTPB already leading 18-7 with 12:35 left in the first half and Seay with just two points, the 6-foot-5 senior guard went on a tear, scoring 13 of the Falcons' next 16 points to turn a relatively close contest into the makings of what would end up being a blowout.

Seay would finish the first half with an astounding 24 points.

Not to be outdone by Seay, Jalen King added 10 points in the first half for UTPB.

Cameron (2-14, 0-10 Lone Star) would have its own prolific scorer in Colt Savage, who tallied 16 points in the first half.

With the game never in doubt after leading 51-31 at the half, UTPB added a 9-3 run midway through the second half to put the Aggies away and allowing head coach Kyle Tolin to give valuable minutes to some players off the bench.

A total of 11 Falcons saw action with nine playing 10 minutes or more each,

King would end up narrowly missing a double-double outing as he added nine rebounds to his 14 points.

One player that did not relinquish his chance at a double-double performance was DaJuan Jones, who finished with 16 points and a season-high 10 assists.

Keyon Craddock, a 6-foot-1 junior guard from Garland, poured in a season-best 21 points and Max Warren added 10 points as five Falcons recorded double-digit outings.

Savage ended the game with 27 points for the Aggies.
