The Falcons
- The Falcons had a flare for the dramatic last week, winning a pair of games in comeback, walk off fashion. On Thursday, the team came back from down three in the ninth to win on a walk to Michael Clapperton. Then on Friday Devin Ferrari tied things in their last at bat with a two-run home run before Mario Pena walked things off with his first homer of the year. Â
- Ferrari continues to destroy the baseball for the Falcons. The senior was clutch for the Falcons in their pair of walk-off wins. On Friday he launched a game-tying two-run home run to set up Mario Pena's walk-off homer in the opening game of the doubleheader. Then in game two, with his team down three, Ferrari hit another two-run homer as the Falcons nearly completed a nine-run comeback. In the doubleheader the senior went 4-8 with two home runs, six RBI, and a double. He is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak.
- Ferrari has the second highest single season slugging percentage among players with 100 at bats in program history. The only player with a higher one was Evan Gattis in 2010, who went onto win a World Series with the Houston Astros.
- Pedro Astacio is also swinging a hot bat of late. The sophomore raised his season average up to .336 and leads the team with 11 doubles. He is tied with Ferrari for second on the team with seven home runs. Astacio has also ripped a pair of triples and driven in 27 runs in his first season in orange and black.
- This is one of the most powerful offenses in program history. The team is currently tied for the most in a season in program history with eight games remaining.
- The Falcons head to LCU for the first time since 2016. The Chaps have won the last two series in the rivalry, with the Falcons last taking it back in 2015.

The Chaps
- The Chaps dropped to No. 25 in the nation after splitting their series last week at Cameron.
- Their pitching staff leads the LSC with eight complete games.
- The Chaps are eighth in the country in slugging percentage at .566.
- This is the final home stand for the team and will honor their seniors before Sunday's game.
