- The Falcons had a dramatic come-from-behind victory in the series opener. The Falcons rallied with four runs in the ninth for the 9-8 walk-off win. Pena's two-run single tied things after the Falcons trailed by three and Michael Clapperton finished things with a bases loaded walk for the win.

- Pedro Astacio is also swinging a hot bat of late. The sophomore raised his season average up to .331 and leads the team with 11 doubles. Y.
- This is one of the most powerful offenses in program history. This year the team has 44 home runs and is two away from setting the school record.
