The Falcons

• The Falcons offense continues to be a menace to opposing pitching.  They hit seven home runs and nine doubles last weekend at Oklahoma Christian.
• Devin Ferrari continues to mash, hitting .538 last weekend with three home runs and eight RBI.  The senior currently has a .680 slugging percentage in 97 at bats.  Among players in program history with as many at bats that ranks second in a single season behind Evan Gattis in 2010.
• Pedro Astacio is also swinging a hot bat of late.  The sophomore raised his season average up to .330 and leads the team with 10 doubles.  He is also second in home runs with six and fourth in RBI with 24.  Last weekend he hit .429 with four extra base hits and four runs scored.
• This is one of the most powerful offenses in program history.  This year the team has 40 home runs and is six away from setting the school record.
• Five of the last six games of the series have featured a team scoring in double figures.  The Falcons last win over St. Mary's came in Odessa, a 7-5 victory in 2020.

 
The Rattlers

• The Rattlers are coming off a sweep of Cameron last weekend.
• They have won one series and split one other this season.
• St. Mary's comes into the weekend with the second worst fielding percentage in the Lone Star Conference at .947.  
• They lead the conference with 94 wild pitches this season.
