The Falcons
- Trever Berg picked up his second win of the year on Saturday with a complete game against UT Tyler. The senior allowed just two earned runs over 7.0 innings to now tie for the team lead in victories. Â
- The Falcons are second in the Lone Star Conference with 31 home runs, while the Lions are 11th with only 13.
- Pedro Astacio has swung a hot bat with an RBI in eight of his last 10 games. The sophomore also has three home runs in that time span. Â
- Parker Buys has emerged in the starting rotation. In five of his seven starts he has allowed three earned runs or less. In his last two starts Buys has allowed four earned in 11 innings and struck out eight.
- This is the first trip the Lions have made to Odessa since 2015 with the last three series played at UAFS. The Falcons have eight wins all-time against the Lions.
