The Falcons
  • The Falcons continued their offensive momentum against Texas A&M International on Saturday as they won 7-5 in Laredo. Michael Clapperton drove in three Falcons in the winning effort while Marcus Johnson scored three times. Garret Thornton hit his first home run of the season and Oswaldo Godina collected a double.
  • Thompson recorded his first win of the season in relief of Parker Buys who pitched his first three innings as a Falcon allowing no hits. Trey Penny relieved Thompson throwing 2.1 innings and Austin Parks got the save getting the last two outs of the game.
  • This will be the 35th time the Falcons and Dustdevils play against each other. The Falcons lead the series 20-14 and have won five of the last seven games they have played in Laredo.
The Dustdevils
  • The Dustdevils got nine hits off Falcon pitching, but only had five runners cross the plate. Ronnie Bailey and Ariben Gutierrez led the offense. Gutierrez had two hits while driving in a run and scoring a run. Bailey had a double and two RBI to go along with his three-hit performance yesterday.
  • The Dustdevils gave up 12 Falcon hits and they walked six Falcons as well. They gave up three doubles and a home run. The Falcons look to capitalize on Dustdevil pitching once again.
