UT Permian Basin Softball didn't need much offense on Sunday, as
Becky Berth was nearly perfect in the circle against Baker. She struck out four and outside of a double in the fifth, didn't allow a hit as the Falcons cruised to their third straight win.
Aracely Ariaza started the scoring in the third with a two-run blast. In the fourth the Falcons brought home two more after a pair of bases loaded walks to
Mia Quintero and
Melayna Lopez.
Ashlynn Bradley brought home another run in the fifth, driving in
Sydney Bishop on a double for the 5-0 lead. The Falcons added another run in the sixth before Bishop punctuated the win with a two-run home run. That was more than enough with the way Berth pitched for the 8-0 win.
Bishop has been absolutely on fire at the plate and is hitting .542 with eight RBI through 10 games. Araiza's homer was her second of the year while Bishop's was the second of her career. Through 11 games, the Falcons have matched their home run output from 2021.
The Falcons are on the road once again next weekend as they travel to Canyon for five games. Download the UTPB Athletics App for the latest news on your favorite Falcon teams.
