UT Permian Basin Tennis quickly took care of business against the University of the Southwest on Saturday at the Bush Tennis Center in Midland. The men and the women combined to take nine out of 11 points from the Mustangs. The women won 4-0 while the men won 5-2.
 
Paul Schwieger and Jonah Neumaier were a force in their singles matches as Schwieger won 6-0, 6-2 and Neumaier took his match 6-1, 6-0. Timon Kohler was in a tight match as he fought off five match points to claim victory.
 
The women also played Air Force on Saturday but fell to them 0-7. The closest the Falcons got to taking one from Air Force was the No. 3 doubles pairing of Lisa Guitton and Mariah Briones but they fell 5-7 in their match.
 
The women's next match will be in Stephenville, TX as they face UT Rio Grand Valley and host Tarleton on Friday. The men's next match will be February 25 against Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, AR. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the Falcons all season long.
