The Falcons 
  • The Falcons are showing more power than last year as they finished with 37 home runs, which tied for fifth in the Lone Star Conference. They now have 15 home runs in seven complete games this campaign. Heading into the series the Falcons were tied for eighth in Division II in home runs. In game one of their doubleheader the Falcons relied on the long ball for their victory. Oswaldo Godina hit a three-run blast and Garret Thornton went yard as well as the Falcons won 6-4. In the suspended game two of the doubleheader Gabriel Melendez hit a grand slam.
  • Clapperton is seventh in the conference in batting average as he is hitting .480. Clapperton is tied for first in the conference with 12 hits.
  • Marcus Johnson is tied for tenth in the conference with seven runs scored.
  • Jay DeSoto is tied for fourth in the conference with eight hits and 15 total bases. He also is tied for tenth the conference with two home runs. He is tied for third with seven RBI.
  • Godina has one of the best eyes in the conference as he is tied for seventh with six walks on the season.
  • Thornton's three home runs ties the conference lead.
  • As a team the Falcons are leading the conference in home runs with 15 on the year.
  • The end of the current game will be the 22nd time the Falcons and Javelinas have played against each other. The Falcons have won the three of the last four games.
The Javelinas
  • They had cold bats in game one of the doubleheader, but their bats woke up in game two once again. Shelby Becker has played a huge role for the Javelinas during the series as he came off the bench hitting .800 and scoring nine runs.
  • Their probable starter for tomorrow's game is Robbie Spencer. He pitched in the series finale against Cameron as he gave up six earned runs in 1.1 innings of work collecting three strikeouts.
