The Falcons

- Avalon Munoz has been one of the best point guards in the LSC, sitting second in the conference with 101 assists only three behind Frances King of Midwestern State. The freshman is also fourth in steals with 53.
- Holly Hemmeline is tied for sixth in the conference in three point field goals per game making 1.9 per game.
- The Falcons took the Javelinas down to the wire in Kingsville on December 2 before the Falcons fell by eight points. Kamari Portalis led the Falcons with 11 points as Avalon Munoz and Quaadman each had 10 points. Munoz also added seven rebounds in the effort
- The Falcons had three players hit double digit scoring in their 70-64 win against Texas A&M International on Thursday. Ogechi Nwodo led the way with 15 points as she shot 7-for-13 from the field. She also collected nine rebounds and seven steals. Hemmeline bucketed 14 points while hitting four threes. Morgan Helgesen scored 13 points going 5-for-9 from the field and five steals.
- The Falcons are 4-8 in the series with the Javelinas. The last time these two teams met in Odessa was the 2018-19 season.
The Javelinas
- The Javelinas travel to Odessa after a 72-58 loss to Angelo State on Thursday. Before their loss they had a two game winning streak as they beat St. Edward's 75-55 and St. Mary's 66-51 at home.
- They are 11-0 at home, but when they go on the road they have a 3-6 record and have lost their last three road games.
- The Javelinas have a rebounding margin of -2.1 while the Falcons have been on the plus side of rebounds in the last two games.
