The Falcons 
  • The Falcons return to Roden Field after playing their first five games on the road. Astacio leads the Falcons with a .500 BA. In 12 at bats he has hit a double and a home run to boost the offense. He also has three RBI and scored three times as well.
  • Last time out Michael Clapperton led the offense as he scattered three hits in their finale against Texas A&M International. On one of his hits he drove in Gabriel Melendez to score the first run for the Falcons. Later in the game Melendez hit a two-run homer.
  • Astacio is tied for seventh in the Lone Star Conference in batting average as he is hitting .500. He is tied for sixth in the conference with six hits and tied for ninth with a .883 slugging percentage.
  • Marcus Johnson is tied for eighth in the conference with five runs scored.
  • Clapperton is tied for second in the conference with seven hits as well as stolen bases with two.
  • Jay DeSoto is tied for sixth in the conference with six hits. He also is tied for the conference lead with two home runs and 13 total bases. He is tied for fifth with five RBI.
  • Oswaldo Godina has one of the best eyes in the conference as he is tied for third with five walks on the season.
  • As a team the Falcons are leading the conference in home runs with eight on the year. They also lead the conference in total bases with 82 and fielding percentage with a .987 mark.
  • This will be the 20th time the Falcons and Javelinas have played against each other. The Falcons have won the last two games they have played against them.
The Javelinas
  • The Javelinas scored 12 runs combined in their two wins against Cameron last weekend, but only two combined in their two losses.
  • They won the first two games of the series as their pitching gave up five runs combined. In their two loses to end the series their pitching gave up 11 runs.
  • The Javelinas have the worst batting average in the conference as they are hitting .176 on the season.
