UT Permian Basin Cross Country's season came to a close Saturday in Wichita Falls in the Lone Star Conference Championships.
Alauna Stackhouse led the way for the women with a time of 26:11.7 while
Christian Chavez's time of 26:55.4 paced the men in 44th place.
Behind Stackhouse with a time of 26:50.2 was
Odalis Lujan. The next highest finisher was
Miranda Hernandez who ran a time of 27:11.3. Following her were
Yanitza Olivares in 28:14.2,
Amber Martin in 28:31.1, and
Kayla Cepeda in 28:47.8. As a team the Falcons finished 15th.
The freshman Chavez led then men ahead of
Noah Perez who finished in 28:21.6. Another freshman David Cruz finished third on the team with a time of 29:44.2 while
Jared Myers clocked in at 31:55.8 and
Alejandro Tercero finished in 36:25.5.
