UT Permian Basin Football's offense was clicking on all cylinders on Saturday at Eastern New Mexico, amassing 475 yards in a 24-21 win. Quarterback
Dylan Graham had a big day through the air with 338 yards and three touchdowns.
MJ Link had another huge game with 129 yards and a pair of scores on seven catches.
Marcus Molina was a prominent point in the offense with nine catches for 92 yards.
Just three plays into the game the Falcons struck first. After an 18-yard run by
Taj Crenshaw, Graham found Link deep down field for a 54-yard touchdown and the early 6-0 lead. The Greyhound offense found some momentum to go up 14-6. Halfway through the second quarter, Graham connected with Link for a 27-yard gain to eventually set up
Michael Mayfield's 26-yard field goal.
Just two plays into the ensuing drive,
JT Walker jumped a pass and set the Falcons up at the Greyhound 30. The offense stalled out before finding their rhythm in the final drive of the half. Graham and
Gunnar Abseck connected three times for a total of 51 yards and a touchdown to head into the half up 16-14.
The Greyhounds retook the lead on their opening drive of the half with a touchdown to make it 21-16. The home team had a chance to add to their lead, but a 51-yard field goal attempt fell short giving the Falcons good field position. Graham started the drive with a 15-yard completion to Molina. A pass interference moved the Falcons to the Greyhound side of the field before
Kory Harris' 24-yard run put them in the red zone. Graham then found Link for the second time to put the Falcons up 24-21.
From there the defense would go on to hold the Greyhounds scoreless while the offenses was able to milk the final minutes on the clock out in the win.
They had 137 yards on the ground, led by 66 from Crenshaw.
D'Ondre Robinson and
Hayden Kelly led the defense with 12 tackles each. Kelly had 2.5 tackles for loss as did
