Box Score UT Permian Basin Volleyball's offense was swinging it Friday night at Oklahoma Christian recording 61 kills.
Aquincia Strambler has been on fire of late and recorded her sixth straight double digit kill game.
Chandra Reed added 12 kills while
Mayce Barker and
Taurie Magee had nine each.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead before the Falcons bounced back with a 5-0 run. Back-to-back errors by the Eagles and a kill by Strambler put the Falcons up 17-14. After trading points, Reed's second kill of the night ended the set 25-22. The Falcons had the lead out of the gates in the second set but the Eagles used a 4-0 run to take the lead. The Falcons answered back with a 3-0 run to tie the score at 14. The teams exchanged points through the rest of the set but a late 3-0 run by the Eagles flipped the set in their favor 25-23.
In the third set the Falcons had a 12-8 lead before the Eagles took momentum on a 5-0 run. Later in the set the Falcons had the set point but the Eagles fought back to take the set 27-25. In the fourth set the Eagles controled the pace from the outset and took it 25-18.
Strambler had a double-double adding in 11 digs.
Daylee Doggett led the team with 19.
Maya Detwiler had a huge night with 27 assists and 11 digs.
Jenna Gray added 21 assists and 14 digs.
