Alberto Romano has been on fire of late for UT Permian Basin Men's Soccer and he continued that streak on Saturday against Eastern New Mexico with a brace in a 4-0 win.
Romano opened the scoring in the 26
th minute with a goal assisted by
Pablo Oloriz and Gabriel Navarez. Just over 10 minutes later, the script was flipped, and Romano found Navarez for the 2-0 lead.
The offense didn't stop there when
Matias Pereira scored his second of the season off an assist by
Gustavo Barroso to send it into the locker room 3-0. The Falcons didn't stop there when Romano score his second of the game, and third of the week, off an assist by
Sergio Gonzalez for what was an eventual 4-0 final.
Kristian Hovind made four saves in net for his first shutout of the season.
The Falcons are back home Wednesday to take on West Texas A&M at 7 PM. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
