It was 90 minutes of a defensive struggle but when the dust settled UT Permian Basin Women's Soccer came home from Eastern New Mexico with a critical 1-0 win.  The win vaulted the Falcons into the final Lone Star Conference playoff spot with 10 points with four games left in the season.

Jenna McEnaney was brilliant in goal once again, recording her third shutout in the last four games.  The junior recorded seven saves for her second straight clean sheet.  The Falcons were held to just four shots on goal but Laura Perez made the most of a penalty kick in the 41st minute.  The sophomore buried it in the bottom right corner of the net for her second of the year.  The Greyhounds had their chances in the second half but the defense held on for the 1-0 victory.

The Falcons return home to face St. Mary's on Saturday at 1 PM.  The Falcons are 3-1-2 this season at home and face a Rattler team just one point ahead of them in the conference standings.  Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
