Matias Pereira's 80th minute goal put the Falcons ahead, but a quick answer from UT Tyler evened the score in a 1-1 final.
After a 0-0 first half, Pereira netted his first of the season at 80:31 to put the Falcons ahead with an assist by
Gustavo Barroso.
UT Tyler answered back 11 seconds later with the equalizer.
The two goals were the final shots for either side in what ended a 1-1 tie.
UTPB tallied nine shots with five on goal. Barroso,
Gabriel Nevarez and
Sergio Gonzalez each matched a game-high two shots. Barroso and Gonzalez tied a game-best two shots on goal.
Kristian Hovind started in goal, playing seven minutes with a save.
Luke Ryan played the remaining 83 minutes, surrendering a goal and saving two.
The Falcons (2-2-3 | 0-0-1 LSC) are back on the road against Texas A&M International on Wednesday, October 5.
