The Falcons

• The Falcons have gotten used to close games already in 2021-22. 11 of their 16 games have been decided by 10 points or less, and three have come down to a one possession difference.  Despite their record, the Falcons have a -1.5 per game scoring margin and been outscored by just 24 points on the season.
• The Falcons lead the Lone Star Conference in forced turnovers at 23.0 per game.  This is the most per game under Head Coach Rae Boothe. 
• Alexus Wykoff has been an offensive force this year for the Falcons.  The senior is third in the nation in shooting percentage at .657.  She is ninth in the conference with her team leading 14.4 points per game.
• Avalon Munoz is second in the LSC with 69 assists on the season and third in steals with 38. 
• On Thursday, Morgan Helgesen recorded the first double-double of her young career.  The freshman had 15 points, tying a career high, and set a new high in rebounds with 13.  Wykoff had a team high 18 points while Munoz added 14 points along with a career high eight assists. 
• The Falcons have one win all-time against the perennial powerhouse.  That win came back on November 14, 2014, when the Falcons upset the then-No. 1 Lady Buffs in Canyon.

The Aggies

• The Lady Buffs have not played in two weeks due to COVID issues. 
• Despite seven losses on the season, three have come against teams ranked in the top-10 of the national polls.  On January 6 the Lady Buffs handed No. 2 Texas A&M – Commerce their first loss of the season.
• Zamorye Roberts leads a balanced scoring attack at 14.4 points per game. Five others average at least seven points per game. 
• Josh Prock is in his first season at the helm in Canyon.  He was previously the head coach at Eastern New Mexico, leading the Greyhounds to three NCAA Tournament appearances.
