The Falcons
  • The Falcons have gotten used to close games already in 2021-22. Nine of their 13 games have been decided by 10 points or less, and three have come down to a one possession difference. 
  • Through their first 13 games the Falcons forced 315 turnovers or 24.2 per game, which is at the top of the charts in the Lone Star Conference.  This is the most per game under Head Coach Rae Boothe. 
  • The Falcons are tied for 15th in NCAA Division II in turnovers forced per game with 24.2 on the season. That number is good for 13.9 steals per game which is tied for 11th in DII.
  • As a team the Falcons sit in fifth in the conference with a 4.31 turnover margin.
  • In their last game against Texas Woman's the Falcons were led by Kamari Portalis who had a career high 14 points. Alexus Quaadman led the team in rebounds with five and Rory Carter led the defense with four steals. 
  • Quaadman is seventh in the Lone Star Conference in offensive rebounds with 33 on the season.
  • Munoz is fifth in offensive boards with 35 she is also fourth in assists with 49. She is fourth in steals with 33. She is tied for sixth in the conference with a 1.3 assist / turnover ratio.
  • Wykoff is first in the LSC in field goal percentage and third in Division II with a 66.7 percent. She is sixth in the conference with a .842 free throw percentage.
  • This is the 12th meeting between the two teams with the Falcons winning the last two games they have met in the Falcon Dome.
The Mustangs
  • The Mustangs will be playing in their fifth Lone Star Conference game on Saturday against the Falcons, but on the road against LSC opponents they are 0-2 on the year. The Mustangs are coming off a loss against Angelo State 98-72 on Thursday in San Angelo, TX.
  • They have a -7.6 scoring margin on the season which the fourth worst in the conference. 
  • The Mustangs also have trouble rebounding the ball. They have a -5.8 rebounding margin on the season.
  • They also turn the ball over 22.4 times a game and they have a turnover margin of -3.1. The Falcons look to feast in the turnover game and make that the difference on Saturday.
