The Falcons
  • Jordan Horn continues to fill the stat sheet and bumped his scoring average up to 16.7 points per game.  DaJuan Jones and Miles Daniels also eclipse double digits, scoring 14.4 and 14.3 points per game respectfully.
  • Jones might already be one of the best point guards in program history.  Through 15 games the senior has 118 assists and has eyes on the program single season record of 153.  He has five games with double digit assists including 12 against Western Washington and St. Edwards.
  • Jones currently sits first in the country with his 118 assists.
  • This season the Falcons have buckled down defensively, allowing just 71.5 points per game.  The last time the Falcons allowed less than 70 points per game was the 2012-13 season in which they gave up 68.9.
  • Their last time out the Falcons were led by Jones 23 points and three assists on Thursday. Jordan Horn led the Falcons with six rebounds and added 17 points on the night.
  • The Falcons have played in plenty of close games this season. Nine of the 15 games have been decided by single digits, with two games decided by a single point.
  • The Falcons boast the fourth-best turnover margin in the LSC at +3.87.  The Falcons have forced the third most turnovers in the conference with 238 this season while only committing 184.
  • Horn is fourth in the conference in scoring with his 16.7 average per game. He is also seventh in field goal percentage shooting .474 from the field. Horn is eighth in shooting percentage from beyond the arc holding a .382 percentage.
  • Jones is first in the conference in assists with 118. Second place is at 88 assists and with two more games played than Jones. He is fourth in the conference shooting .895 from the free throw line. Jones holds the third spot in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 3.7 and he is tied for fourth in steals with 23 on the season. He is fourth in field goal percentage holding a .507 mark.
  • Daniels is second with 3.4 made threes per game and is tenth in field goal percentage shooting .449. He is second in the conference in shooting percentage from three-point range with a .451 mark.
  • Lemmie Howard is tenth in defensive rebounds with 62 on the year.
  • This will be the 12th meeting all-time between the Falcons and the Mustangs.  The Falcons have won two of their last three games against the Mustangs in the Falcon Dome since the 2018-19 season.
The Mustangs
  • The Mustangs are losers of two straight as both losses came by single digits. They lost to St. Mary's by four and Angelo State by two on Thursday.
  • They have a 2-6 road record this season with both wins by single digits.
  • The Mustangs big stat against them is their scoring margin at -4.1. They have allowed 1,145 points defensively this season while only getting 1,080 themselves. They are also .282 from beyond the arc this season and attempt 6.9 three-pointers a game.
  • They play at their best when they rebound the basketball. They have a 4.1 rebound margin this season.
