The Falcons
- The Falcons have gotten used to close games already in 2021-22. Eight of their 12 games have been decided by 10 points or less, and three have come down to a one possession difference.Â
- Through their first 12 games the Falcons forced 292 turnovers or 24.3 per game, which is at the top of the charts in the Lone Star Conference. This is the most per game under Head Coach Rae Boothe since she came to the Permian Basin.Â
- The Falcons are tied for 10th in NCAA Division II in steals with 168 on the season. That number is good for 14.0 steals a game which is tied for 7th in the nation.
- As a team the Falcons sit in fourth in the conference with a 4.75 turnover margin.
- In their last game against Sul Ross, Wykoff led the team with 18 points. Avalon Munoz had 11 points and led the team with four assists. Morgan Helgesen netted 10 points in the victory.
- Quaadman is tied with fellow teammate Munoz for seventh in the Lone Star Conference in offensive rebounds with 32 on the season.
- Munoz is also fourth in assists with 47 and is second in steals with 33. She is eighth in the conference with a 3.0 assist / turnover average and is tied for sixth in with an assist / turnover ratio.
- Wykoff is first in the LSC in field goal percentage and second in Division II at 66.7 percent. She is sixth in the conference with a .842 free throw percentage and tenth in the conference with a 13.6 points per game mark.
- This is the 11th meeting between the two teams with the Pioneers holding a 2-8 record against the Falcons. The last five match-ups have been decided by five points or less including a pair of overtime games.
The Pioneers
- The Pioneers will be playing in their third Lone Star Conference game, but their first on the road. In their two previous games they won 69-56 against St. Mary's and they defeated St. Edward's 70-57.
- They are one of the best teams in the conference in forcing their opponents in making turnovers. They are ranked fourth forcing 20.3 turnovers a game.
