The Falcons
- Jordan Horn continues to fill the stat sheet and bumped his scoring average up to 17.8 points per game.  Miles Daniels and DaJuan Jones also eclipse double digits, scoring 14.4 and 13.9 points per game respectfully.
- Jones might already be one of the best point guards in program history. Through 13 games the senior has 108 assists and has eyes on the program single season record of 153. He has five games with double digit assists including 12 against Western Washington and St. Edwards.
- Jones currently sits first in the country in assists per game with 8.3.
- This season the Falcons have buckled down defensively, allowing just 69.7 points per game. The last time the Falcons allowed less than 70 points per game was the 2012-13 season in which they gave up 68.9.
- Their last time out the Falcons had four double digit scorers against Angelo State. Max Warren led the Falcons with 17 points while going 8-for-8 from the field for a new career high. Horn was right behind him with 16 points as Jones knocked in 15 and Lemmie Howard tallied 11.Â
- The Falcons have played in plenty of close games this season. Eight of the 13 games have been decided by single digits, with two games decided by a single point.
- The Falcons boast the fourth-best turnover margin in the LSC at +4.54. The Falcons have forced 206 turnovers this season while only committing 147.
- Horn is third in the conference in scoring with his 17.8 average per game. He is also fourth in field goal percentage shooting .504 from the field. Horn is seventh in shooting percentage from beyond the arc holding a .413 percentage.
- Jones is right behind Horn as he is fifth in the conference in field goal percentage shooting .500. He is also third shooting .915 from the free throw line. Jones holds the conference lead in assist/turnover ratio at 4.3. He is tied for sixth in steals with 21 on the season.
- Daniels is second in the conference standing is shooting percentage from three-point range with a .456 mark.
- This will be the 27th meeting all-time between the Falcons and the Rattlers. After winning at home on December 11, 76-68, the Falcons are 10-16 against the Rattlers. The Falcons have won five of the last eight contests dating back to the 2014-15 season.
The Rattlers
- The Rattlers have an even 1-1 record since coming back from winter break. They lost against Dallas Baptist and won against Midwestern State in their last game on Saturday.
- They won their game against Midwestern State 59-55 as both teams were in a defensive battle. Five of their seven losses came against LSC schools, and all were decided by 10 points or less except for two games. They lost against Texas A&M – Kingsville 78-66 on December 20 and Dallas Baptist by 11 in their last loss on Thursday.
- The Rattlers most impressive win came against then No. 5 Colorado School of Mines in their first game of the year, 82-59, in the South Central Regional Crossover.
- The Rattlers shoot .684 from the charity stripe and they allow their opponents to go to the line 14.9 times a game.
- They allow their opponents to shoot .431 from the field and .346 from beyond the arc this season.
