Kobea and Barroso Find the Back of the Net in Hard Fought Match

UT Permian Basin Men's Soccer showed their potential against Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO on Saturday. The Falcons and Skyhawks came away with a 2-2 tie with both teams giving max effort throughout the match.

The Skyhawks scored a couple of goals in the first half for a 2-0 lead. The Falcons did not go away quietly as they started their scoring on a pass from Matias Pereira to the boot of Tresor Kobea as he hit the top left corner of the net to go into the half down 2-1.

The Falcons were the only ones to score in the second half as Gustavo Barroso connected on a penalty kick during the 55th minute of play. The Falcons controlled most of the second half, but they could not find the back of the net again as both teams went into extra time tied 2-2

The Falcons had the best chance to take the win with a ball that bounced in the box a couple of times. The ball could not find the back of the net with three minutes to go in the second ten minutes of extra time for the game to end a 2-2 tie.

The Falcons had five shots on goal with two each from Barroso and Kobea. The other shot on goal was off the boot of Rodrigo Rogatto. Alfonso Aragon saved six shots during the match.
