Scouting the Tigers
Ouachita Baptist rolls into Denton with a 0-4 record overall, winners three sets all year. They faced Lone Star Conference foe Texas A&M Kingsville in their last match losing in five sets. Rileigh Fielder leads the team in kills with 40 while Kellen Church leads OBU with 82 assists. On the defensive side Lexie Castillow has a team high 96 digs and Karli Ferguson leads with 15 blocks.

Efficient Offense
The Falcon offense has been terrific through five games this season.  As a team the Falcons are hitting .224, up from .189 in 2019 their last full season of play.  Six Falcons are hitting .200 or better with at least 50 attempts.  No Falcon below that mark has more than 40 attempts.  Entering today, the Falcons are second in the LSC in kills with 244 and are seventh in hitting percentage.

Picking up Where They Left Off
Analise Lucio and Aquincia Strambler picked up right where they left off in the spring.  Lucio has recorded 149 assists, third in the LSC, and is third on the team with 43 digs after five matches.  Strambler has been sensational, recording 70 kills and hitting .342 in the process.  She is currently second in the conference in kills and seventh in hitting percentage.  Up front Taurie Magee is a force with 20 blocks, fourth in the LSC, and is second on the team with 47 kills, tenth in the LSC.  Daylee Doggett is also off to a strong start with 70 digs, tied for sixth in the LSC.

Chasing History
Lucio has 1,950 career assists and looks to become the fourth player in program history to reach the 2,000 mark for their career.  She also has 673 career digs, just 76 away from breaking into the top 10 in program history.  She would become the third player in program history to crack the top 10 in two of the following categories: kills, assists, and digs, and would be the first to do so in assists and digs.
