Choco Munoz had a banner day for UT Permian Basin in their doubleheader against No. 10 Oklahoma Christian, collecting four hits including a double and a two-run home run.
Â
In the first game, the Falcons collected five hits including two from Munoz. The Falcons also got hits from Alice Marion,
Ashlynn Bradley, and
Emily Andress but could not put together a string of hits as they left nine runners on base and fell 13-0 in game one.
Â
The Falcon bats woke up late in game two. In the fourth,
Aracely Araiza doubled to right center scoring
Leslie Martinez to get the Falcons on the board. Munoz hit a two-run home run to left scoring
April Arellano, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons fell to the Eagles 16-3 in game two.
Â
Marion, Munoz, and Martinez all had multi-hit games for the Falcons on the day.
Â
The Falcons will be celebrating Senior Day on Sunday against Cameron. The doubleheader starts at 12 PM with Senior Day festivities after the game. Download the UTPB Athletics App today to follow the Falcons all season long.
