The Falcons
  • Jordan Horn now leads the Falcons in scoring after he dropped 20 against the Javelinas.  He was 8-of-15 from the field including hitting a pair of shots from beyond the arc.  The senior is averaging 17 points per game and is sitting in a tie for eighth in the Lone Star Conference.  The win over the Javelinas snapped a 16-game home winning streak.
  • The Falcons have seen contributions from everywhere as three players are averaging at least 10 points per game.  Behind Horn, Miles Daniels is averaging 15.5 per game and shooting .532 from three and .455 from the field, while Dajuan Jones is averaging 13.0 points per game.  Howard is just under the double-digit mark at 9.8 points per game. Daniels is third in the conference in three-point percentage with .532
  • Jones leads the LSC in assists with 47 and is averaging 7.8 per game.  No other player in the LSC is currently averaging more than 5.6 this season.
  • This is the 16th meeting all-time between the Falcons and the Dustdevils. The series is currently 8-7 in favor of the Falcons with them winning five of their last seven games.
The Dustdevils
  • The Dustdevils had their six-game winning streak snapped on Thursday against No. 12 Angelo State as they fell 74-71 in Laredo.
  • In the loss the Dustdevils were up by five at the half, but could not close out the game in the second half.
  • The Dustdevils have two players who average in double figures on the scoreboard. Greg Bowie II averages 14.9 and Jermaine Drewey averages 11.9 a game.
  • If there is one area the Dustdevils have been weak in at the beginning of the season it's the free throw line. They are shooting 67.7 percent from the line averaging 15 free throw attempts per game.
