Scouting the Opponent
 
Lubbock Christian is 8-5-1, 5-1-1 on the year and have won four straight matches. The Chaps last loss came against then No. 8 Midwestern State on October 16.  The Chaps have won two matches against ranked opponents including last Saturday's 4-2 defeat of No. 24 St. Mary's.
 
Offensively the Chaps are led by Tariq Bakkali with 4 goals while four Chaps are tied with three assists each. Defensively the Chaps are anchored by Braxton Thorne who has allowed 12 goals while saving 28. He has seven shutouts in the 12 starts.

The Falcons are coming off a match against No. 6 Midwestern State on their Senior Day. Mike Nweke scored for the Falcons off a corner kick from Matias Pereria to put them on the board. It was the only goal the Falcons got but they did put a lot of pressure on the No. 6 Mustangs in the second half registering 11 shots.

Gustavo Barroso is not only leading the Falcons on offense but is making a splash in the LSC. He is sitting in a tie for fifth in shots on goal with 22 and he is tied for ninth in goals with five. Salvador Vargas Ramos is tied for ninth in assists with four.
 
Alfonso Aragon eclipsed 200 saves as a Falcon in his career last week as he is only the third Falcon to do so. He is 12 away from being in sole possession of second place and 26 away from being the all-time saves leader dating back to 2009. Aragon leads not only the team but the LSC in saves with 75 in 15 matches.
 
Looking Ahead
 
The Falcons remain alive for a spot in the Lone Star Conference playoffs.
