Gustavo Barroso scored his team-high seventh goal of the season Wednesday night in a 4-1 loss to Midwestern State.
The Mustangs took a 2-0 lead to the second half after goals in the 27th and 40th minutes.
Down 3-0, Barroso got the Falcons on the board with a goal to the low center in the 56th minute to cut it to 3-1. Seven marks a new career-high that Barroso previously broke this season against St. Mary's on October 8. Prior to that, his career-high was five goals scored in the 2021 season.
Midwestern went on to add one more in the 87th minute for a 4-1 final.
Barroso led the Falcons with two shots, putting both on goal.
Alberto Romano and
Matias Pereira each put a shot on goal.
Felipe Almeida and
Jakob Beschel each added a shot.
Kristian Hovind finished with two saves after a full 90 minutes in goal.
The Falcons (4-5-5 | 2-3-3 LSC) conclude the regular season on Saturday, October 29 against Lubbock Christian in Lubbock.
