The Falcons
- The Falcons have gotten used to close games already in 2021-22. Three of their five games have been decided by 10 points or less, and two have come down to a one possession difference. So far this season the Falcons are scoring the exact same points per game as last season but allowing seven points fewer per contest.
- Through their first four games the Falcons forced 87 turnovers or 21.8 per game. This would tie the most per game under Head Coach Rae Boothe when the team averaged 21.8 back in 2017-18, her first season in the Permian Basin.Â
- Last night Alexus Quaadman pulled down 13 rebounds, the third most of her career in a single game. Her career high is 16 against Angelo State in the final game of the 2019-20 season.
- Alexis Popham scored a career high 16 points last night, her third career double figure scoring game. Coming into the game she had only scored five points on the season.
- This is the fourth meeting all-time between the teams and third in Colorado. Back in 2019, the Falcons fell to the Rangers 65-48 despite 18 points from Holly Hemmeline.
The Rangers
- Lone Star Conference foes are nothing new to the Rangers, as the Falcons will be their fourth already this season. They started off the year with a pair of close wins at home against St. Edward's and St. Mary's before falling to Eastern New Mexico.Â
- Regis hung tough last night with No. 13 Western Washington, before scoring only four points in the fourth quarter of a 60-47 loss to the Vikings.
- Regis is struggling at the free throw line only hitting .609 from the charity stripe. Josey Ryan (.762) and Tashika Burrell (.813) lead the team in makes and free throw percentage.
