West Texas A&M is receiving votes in the latest AVCA Poll after a 21-4, 14-3 record this season. The Buffs have won three matches in a row without dropping a set and allowed 20 points in a set only once over that span.

The Falcons reached the semifinals in the Lone Star Conference Playoffs for the first time in program history. They defeated No. 6 and regular season champion Angelo State in a five-set thriller last night. It was the fifth time the Belles have lost on their home court in their last 100 matches played. The Falcons ended the Belles run of two-straight LSC titles.

Taurie Magee was sensational at the net for the Falcons against Belles. Magee had a Falcon career high nine blocks and contributed on offense with 11 kills.
Mayce Barker and
Chandra Reed helped Magee at the net with five blocks each.
Aquincia Strambler led the Falcons with 13 kills including the final kill to finish the upset.
Analise Lucio led the Falcons in assists with 40. Lucio and
Daylee Doggett tied for the team lead in services aces with two while Lucio and
Erika Lozano tied for the lead in digs with 16.

Strambler ranks first in the conference with 351 kills on a .263 hitting percentage. Lucio is third with a career high 896 assists. After Magee's big match she is now tied for sixth in the conference in blocks with 90. Doggett is in sole possession of first place in digs with 457 on the year.
