Sul Ross State is 1-1, 1-0 overall on the year. The Lobos are powered offensively by Gabe Sanchez who has 35 points on the year. He also leads the team with seven three pointers made. Trey Nelson has made the most free throws with seven and Larry Morrison holds down the boards with 15 rebounds.

The Falcons split their games during the LSC – RMAC Challenge. On day one the Falcons played against Adams State where new and old faces had impacts on the game. Jordan Horn led the Falcons with 19 points and Dajuan Jones almost had a double-double with 12 points and nine assists. The Falcons needed every point they could get as they won 79-77 in Head Coach Kyle Tolin's debut.
 
On day two of the challenge, the Falcons were led by Miles Daniels going 5-8 from beyond the arc and scoring 20 points on the evening. Jones led the Falcons with 21 points while adding seven assists. Lemmie Howard was one rebound away from a double-double as he had 10 points and nine rebounds.
