The Falcons won a tight one to open the season last night against Adams State, 79-77.  The team was led offensively by Jordan Horn's 19 points and his 4-of-6 shooting from three.  Dajuan Jones had 12 points and nine assists in his Falcon debut while Miles Daniels finished with 10 points.  The Falcons held Adams State to just 30 percent shooting from three-point range, while kicking down 10 themselves. 
 
Before the Falcon game yesterday, Westminster took on Lone Star Conference foe Western New Mexico.  Despite a late run the Griffins fell 71-67.  They shot .460 percent as a team and outrebounded the Mustangs 34-27.  All three Griffins in double figures came off the bench, led by 14 from Lewis Johnson.  Their starters were held to just 26 points in their season opener.
 
The Falcons go for their fifth 2-0 start in the last six seasons.  This will be the first meeting all-time between the Falcons and the Griffins.
