Kasper Wallstroem broke out in a big way for UT Permian Basin Men's Soccer on Saturday.  The senior scored his first goal of the season and assisted on another in a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma Christian.
 
The Falcon offense got started early in the match applying pressure for much of the first half. Wallstroem scored in the 16th minute to give the Falcons an early lead. Ilias Varnavides found Wallstroem down the right side, where he made a move on the keeper out of the box and scored in the bottom left corner of the net.
 
The Falcons kept applying the pressure in the second half. Four minutes into the half Wallstroem took a shot that was saved by the keeper, but the rebound went right to Gustavo Barroso who put it in the back of the net for the 2-0 lead. The Eagles added a goal late in regulation but it wasn't enough as the Falcons won 2-1.
 
The Falcons had 13 shots with six of them being on goal. Alfonso Aragon made six saves he inches closer to becoming second overall all-time in career saves.
 
For Barroso it was his fifth goal of the season while it was the second assist for Varnavides.
